HOW I WORK
An Encounter, not a method
Analysis, as I practice it, is not a technique applied to a problem. It is a sustained encounter between two people — built in confidence, around the images, dreams, and patterns that are asking for attention.
“I must learn that the dregs of my thought, my dreams, are the speech of my soul. I must carry them in my heart, and go back and forth over them in my mind, like the words of the person dearest to me. Dreams are the guiding words of the soul. Why should I henceforth not love my dreams and not make their riddling images into objects of my daily consideration?”

The symbolic life
Events in a life carry a symbolic dimension. I listen for what is underneath the story — the image that holds more meaning than the facts alone can contain.
Active imagination
Where useful, I draw on active imagination — engaging directly with an inner figure or image. This was central to the work of Marie-Louise von Franz and remains one of the most alive methods I know.
Dreams as a central point
Many sessions center on what arrived in the night — an image, a feeling, a fragment worth following. We do not decode dreams; we stay close to them until they speak.
In English & French
Sessions are available in both languages. Working in one's mother tongue often opens a different — more direct — space for what needs to be said.
A real relationship
Analysis unfolds inside a real relationship between two people — one that can hold silence, disagreement, and slow change. I aim to be steady, present, and honest.
In person & online
I see clients in person in Los Angeles and online for those elsewhere in California or beyond. Both formats can hold depth work
“We are now discovering that the dream world is the most beneficent thing on earth, and that attending to one's dreams is the healthiest thing one can do.”
— Marie-Louise von Franz, The Way of the Dreams.
I practice as a Research Psychoanalyst Student, licensed by the Medical Board of California, under the supervision of a Certified Jungian Analyst.
